Portions: 1
Ingredients
- 50g Steak (Rump or Ribeye work very well)
- Gravy Granules
- Puff Pastry
- 1 egg (beaten)
Equipment
- Pastry Cutter
- Pastry Brush
- Bowl/Dish
- Spoon
- Greaseproof Paper
- Air Fryer
Instructions
- Use some boiling water and make up half a mugs worth of gravy but (and this is very important) use half the amount of water you are supposed to use as it needs to be really, really THICK!
- Thinly slice up the steak in to bitesize pieces and place in a bowl
- Put the slices of beef in to a bowl and add just enough VERY THICK gravy to coat all the meat
- Cut off a suitably sized piece off puff pastry
- Spoon in the gravy coated beef in to the middle of the bottom half of the pastry
- Brush the edges of the bottom half with the beaten egg
- Fold over the pastry and push down the edges
- To complete the seal, use a pastry cutter to make a nice edge
- Make some light slit marks on the top
- Cut a piece of greaseproof paper 1cm larger than your Steak Bake and place the steak bake on it
- Put it in the air fryer for 15 minutes at 190°
