Slow Cooker Chicken Stew and Dumplings

The best thing about owning a Slow Cooker is the aroma you get when you arrive home from work after it has been slowly cooking you dinner all day!


The second best thing about a Slow Cooker is you simply bung in all the ingredients, give it a bit of a stir and set the timer!

Along with some diced up chicken breast I chopped up some carrots, potatoes, celery and a few chunks of leek with salt and pepper to taste.  I then topped it up with chicken stock and a couple of teaspoons of cornflour mixed with water to thicken it.

When I arrived home I made some dumplings from a packet mix and when it was nice and sticky I added some sticky balls to the slow cooker and 30 minutes later it was done to a tee!
