I'm not a huge fan of some of the cheap frozen chicken items in ALDI so I'm hoping the chilled ones are a lot better. Never had a kiev with cheese as the filling before so here goes nothing...
180 degrees for 20 minutes is just enough time to boil some broccoli to go with one.
I don't know if this happens to anyone else, but no matter what I do, whether in my full-size oven, convection oven in my microwave or in my air fryer (which we all know is in affect a small economical oven) the centre of my kievs always leak out!
Time for some gravy and then it's time to see how it tastes.
MMmmm! A lot better than I was expecting, not amazing, but not terrible either so I will definitely be buying them again, in fact I'd like to try the garlic butter kiev version next time.
The one I didn't eat has gone in the freezer and there are even instructions on how long to cook it for from frozen so no need to decide the night before and leave it defrosting in the fridge overnight - whenever I decide to eat it I can just grab it from the freezer and Bobs Your Uncle 28 minutes later I'm eating it!
Overall I'd give this a very strong 3 out of 5 stars and I would definitely buy them again.
