Microwaving Ginsters Butter Chicken Pocket

Time to try one of these bad boys in the microwave...

I don't have access to an oven or air fryer at work so heating up the Ginsters Butter Chicken Pocket in the microwave is my only option.

Obviously the pastry isn't crisp like you'd get if it was cooked/heated up in an oven, but it was comparable to other pastry items that I've had heated up in a microwave.

It was actually quite nice heated up but I have to say when I next get one I'll be eating it cold as I enjoyed the cold one I had the other day more.

Ginsters Butter Chicken Pocket Review

Cost at time of review: Part of a £3.60 (Clubcard Price) Meal Deal
Purchased From: TESCO

Who doesn't love a bargain?  Supermarket chilled lunch meal deals are estimated to be loved/purchased by over 7million people each day!  Tesco has one of (if not the) largest choices of options of the lunchtime meal deal consisting of a sandwich (or wrap, or pasta salad or sushi or other items), a snack and a drink.

One of the 'snacks' I chose to try today was the Ginsters Butter Chicken Pocket...

After my first bite my initial reaction was "where's the filling?!"  If you look closely you can just about see it here:

Hang on a minute, lets see if we can see it with the flash on...

There it is!

These are NOT the same size as a normal Ginsters products, they're clearly designed to be part of the lunchtime meal deal and I tell you what, they actually taste really, really tasty.  I ate mine cold but you can heat it up in the oven, air fryer or microwave.

Despite my initial reaction regarding the apparent lack of filling, it was very tasty and I would definitely have one again so I'm giving the Ginsters Butter Chicken Pocket a well deserved 4 stars!
