Traditional Butchers Pork Faggots in Onion Gravy

I was in my local butchers the other day and noticed he had some homemade Faggots in the chiller so I just had to snap them up!  Made from Pork, breadcrumbs and offal these are basically a light meatloaf kind of thing that taste absolutely delicious and are traditionally cooked in an onion gravy and served with a side of mashed potatoes.

Ingredients

  • 4 Faggots made by your butcher
  • Onions
  • Gravy Granules

Equipment

  • Baking Tray with high sides
  • Chopping Board
  • Knife
  • Frying Pan
  • Whisk

Instructions

  1. Chop your onions and saute in some butter until nice and soft
  2. Make some gravy with your gravy granules and pour in to the frying pan and mix the onions in
  3. Place the Faggots in to the high sided baking tray
  4. Pour in the Onion Gravy mix
  5. Roast at 180°C for 15-20 minutes until piping hot!

Serving Suggestion(s)

Serve with mashed potatoes and veg!
