HOVIS English Muffins Review

I can't believe I'm writing a review on some English Muffins - such a mundane/simple food you can find in most supermarkets and they're all pretty much the same, aren't they?

In short, until now that was my mindset but after trying the HOVIS Long Life English Muffins for the first time yesterday, my mind has been changed - whatever they have done to produce these English Muffins should be applauded as they are without a doubt the most amazing muffins I have ever tasted!

I was hesitant at first as when I ordered them online I hadn't noticed they were long life until they arrived and the first thing I thought was what have they done/added to them to make them long life and will it have ruined the flavour perhaps drying them out or something?

Despite my concerns I decided to give them a try...

After using a fork (yes a fork and not a knife) to split the muffin in to two, I put it in the toaster and waited a few minutes for it to be toasted.

As with any other muffin I have ever eaten, I put a generous amount of butter on the muffin and then took a bite and OMG the difference from the other brands I have tried over the years was immediate!

They were light and fluffy on the inside yet a slight crunch from being toasted on the outside!  More light and fluffy than any other brand I have ever tried.

If you're looking to take your English Muffins to the next level then I can highly recommend some grated cheese and onion.

A very well deserved 5 out of 5 for these light and fluffy on the inside, crunchy on the outside, absolutely scrumptious English Muffins!
